Help & FAQ

What happens to my data if I switch phones or lose access to this one?

Your data lives in your account, not on your device. Sign in from any device and your full history is there.

Does SteadyGym work at the gym if my signal is bad?

SteadyGym needs an active connection to save what you log. Nothing is stored on your device and synced later, so a dropped signal means a set won’t save until you’re back online. Your rest timer keeps running and you stay signed in regardless. If your gym has poor reception, expect to retry a save occasionally.

Will you ever add ads, a social feed, or sell my data?

No. That’s a permanent design decision, not a launch promise. If that were ever going to change, you’d be told plainly before it did.

Can I get my data out if I ever stop using SteadyGym?

Yes, anytime, from Settings → Your data. Full export as JSON or CSV, no waiting period.

Can I add extra security to my account?

Yes — two-factor authentication is available in Settings. Once enabled, you’ll need a code from an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Authy) in addition to your password to sign in.

What if I lose access to my 2FA app?

Use one of the backup codes you were given when you set up two-factor authentication.

How is SteadyGym different from other workout trackers?

Most trackers eventually add social feeds, ads, or bundled AI coaching to justify a subscription. SteadyGym stays intentionally narrow: log your training, see your history, keep your data. Nothing else competing for space in the app or your attention.
